The Plus Size Movement has been well on it’s way, embracing all body types and cultural diversity. Over the past few months, we’ve see the feminist wave rise to new heights, opening up new avenues to plus size women all over the world.

As any movement will have, iconic community members have received much praise and encouragement. America’s Ashley Graham has been creating a lasting legacy, being the first plus size woman to grace the cover of Vogue and launching a plus size barbie doll too. Then there’s Russia’s pride and joy, Katya Zharkova, Puerto Rico’s Denise Bidot and the gorgeous Precious Lee – all who have made considerable contributions to the growth, love and acceptance of the larger physique.

Bringing things right back home, South Africa also has quite a few plus size stunners, who are paying their dues to the movement locally. In celebration of Women’s Month and the transformative values that the movement proposes, we’ve decided to honour a few of our favourite curvaceous models.
