Katleho ‘Kat’ is no stranger to the lens. At 36, his career spans two decades – meaning he has officially spent more of his life navigating the high-stakes world of media than not. From his sartorial triumphs on the covers of GQ in 2024 and Joburg Style in 2025 to making history as the first African presenter to anchor E! Entertainment on the continent, the Soweto-born icon cleans up beautifully in a fitted suit.
But sitting down with us, the pristine exterior gives way to something far more compelling: a man who has completely opted out of the relentless industry rat race to chase something far scarcer – contentment, ownership and deep inner peace.

For years, Kat admits, his definition of success was inextricably tied to visibility. “It was always about being seen and meeting a standard,” he reflects. “The thing about entertainment is people end up having their own dreams for you that overpower your dreams for yourself.”
