The 2017 Billboard Music Awards

We’ve had quite an eventful year thus far, with a plenitude of award ceremonies and charity events occurring, and celebs keeping us on our toes with their high-end fashion extravaganzas – and here to add to the list comes the 2017 Billboard Music Awards!

The annual event kicked off at theT-Mobile Arena in Nevada, United States, just a few hours ago (with hosts, Ludacris and Vanessa Hudgens) and the ceremony was filled with an abundance of memorable moments, spectacular performances and BIG wins. Leading the pack was Drake, who went home with a whopping 13 Billboard trophies (breaking Adele’s record of 12 awards), and trailing behind him with five well-deserved awards was Queen B (who did not attend the event).

In terms of stand-out performances, the lady with the world’s greatest ‘pipes’ – Celine Dion – did a truly heartfelt tribute to the Titanic theme song. She showed us once again why she is one of the best performers in the history of vocalists. Bruno Mars may have lost out on a few awards this year, but he took to the stage and nailed his rhythmic hit, ‘Versace on the Floor’.

To back up a bit, let us not forget the amazing fashion we saw last night! Absolutely flawless! From luxurious gowns and tailored suits, to illusion dresses and statement shoulder accents – the event was truly decked out and decorated!

If you happened to miss out on the televised event, then do not fret, because we’re taking a look at some of the best dressed celebs at this year’s 2017 Billboard Music Awards.
