Red

A classic red lippie is a makeup bag essential! Red may seem daring, but is universally known to suit all skin tones. Choose a shade that you’re most comfortable with. Cooler skin tones look great with a lipstick that has blue tones in it, whilst warm skin tones should opt for something a little bit more vibrant.

Berry or Plum

Nothing beats a rich, deep berry-toned lipstick. Purple and plum have become quite trendy shades, even in Autumn and Winter.

Pink or Peach

Oh, to be pretty in pink! Pink is for everyone. Do not be scared of the ultra-feminine shade – it’s a must have! If you’re not comfortable with a vibrant bubble-gum pink, then opt for a peachy, even orange, shade that gives your lips a bit of an oomph!

Brown

Two words: Super Chic! Chocolate brown, reddish brown, taupes and even ‘greige’ (grey beige) are great additions to any lipstick collection, and look absolutely gorgeous in the Autumn months.

Nude

Now we’ve all played witness to ‘the rise of the nudes’ these last two years, so we’re well aware of its significance. Nudes are great for your everyday look. Opt for a shade that does not blend in with your skin tone, but rather enhances the natural tone of your lips. Pink and red undertones look great on ivory and even fair skin tones. Rosy or mauve tones look fantastic on olive and mocha skin tones, whilst darker, warm and even caramel tones look amazing on medium to dark skin tones.
