As we wait in anticipation for next week’s exciting release of the new Transformers: The Last Knight, we’re taking the time to celebrate one of the movie’s star cast members – Tyrese Gibson.

American singer and actor, Tyrese Darnell Gibson, was born in 1978 in Los Angeles, California. His career in the entertainment industry had humble beginnings, as he worked his way up the ladder. From taking part in talent contests, to being a young model and Coke commercial actor, Tyrese truly had a vision for his life and where he wanted to end up.

Today, the handsome hunk is regarded as an A-lister, starring in renowned movie franchises – Fast & Furious and Transformers – and winning multiple music awards for his authentic R&B tunes, so there’s no wondering why we’re honouring the talented entertainer.

His claim to fame started with the 2001 film called Baby Boy, where he starred alongside the young and gorgeous Taraji P. Henson. The two practically started their careers together and remain good friends today. Taraji has even been featured in Tyrese’s ‘Stay’ music video.

Once a model and music video hunk, Tyrese has cemented his place in the history books as one of the most stylish, fit male actors of all time.

Tyrese recently got re-married, on Valentine’s Day this year, to an amazing woman by the name of Samantha Lee-Gibson who is a brilliant social worker who works with children and human trafficking victims and leads campaigns to fight against these injustices. The couple is picture perfect, but sadly often have to defend their interracial marriage, as Samantha is of White and Latin origins whilst tyrese is Black. The two are fighting the fight and proving that love is colourblind.
