Looks We Love: The Venice Film Festival

If the rustic, multi-coloured buildings filled with cultural and historical relevance or the blue, gondola-filled waters aren’t enough to make you fall in love with Venice then the Venice Film Festival is guaranteed to, instead. For 11 days, the Floating City becomes the hub for movie stars, models, designers and big shot filmmakers to showcase a variety of international films, from documentaries to blockbusters, with a side portion of canal-side photoshoots and glamorous parties.

The 75th Venice Film Festival has recently gone underway from 29 August to 08 September 2018 and although it’s only been less than a week, there has been no shortage of designer frocks on the red carpet for the several film screenings and on the streets of Venezia for those “off-duty” snaps. Did anyone say, sartorial bliss?

Side note: The Venice Film Festival has signed a historic charter for gender inclusivity after the festival’s lack of inclusion became a major talking point in recent years.

So far, the festival has been attended by a number of stars. Clémence Poésy, Lady Gaga, Ryan Gosling, Naomi Watts, Emma Stone, Bradley Cooper, Dakota Johnson and Jane Fonda have since been photographed and seen at the festival.
