Dining room areas shouldn’t be left behind when it comes to decor and styling. Invite your friends and family because these tips will make you excited for moments around the dining table
Black is certainly having its moment in every part of the house, and we are not complaining. Its bold appearance and strong persona has the ability to take over a space but when used correctly, can bring out the best in a room. If you are nervous to commit to the colour with paint, try instead with furniture pieces such as sideboards, cabinets or wine racks. These items will present a strong presence of the colour without overpowering the room, and pair well with almost any shade. If black becomes your accent colour, then try it in soft furnishings and crockery instead.
No matter how many years pass, minimalism is one trend that has not slowed down over time. It may have evolved to become a lot warmer than its stark origins, but the essence of simple design with beautiful lines has stayed true. The style carries through from furniture to crockery and glassware, with double-walled glasses. Their lightweight feel in comparison to their appearance offers a play to the eye, but is oh-so beautiful in design. If the style of minimalism is too cold, consider using the trend lightly, such as with glassware or table decor. That way you can hint at the style without going the whole nine yards.
Velvet will forever reign supreme on the fabrics that we love to feel. There’s just something about them that adds luxury to a room, whether a chair or headboard, scatter cushions if the furniture is too much. The deeper the colour, the more luxe it also appears – it’s a great option for dining room chairs. Consider getting a curved one as well since harsh and angular lines are currently not as popular as its counterparts.
