Paint it black  

Black fittings – lamps, taps, handles and frames – are hot right now. They add an edgy, industrial look to spaces that feel a bit sterile. Want to hear the best bit? Fingerprints won’t show as much on black fittings, and most are electroplated so they are scratch-resistant. If a strict black and white scheme is too austere for you, find some grey areas.
