Throughout the years, Jockey has solidified itself in the hearts of many South Africans as a loved and supported underwear brand. For the past four decades, Jockey has been committed to supporting women with comfortable garments designed to fit their bodies perfectly. From its inception, Jockey has always prided itself on being a brand that caters for the needs of women. This year, the company celebrates 40 years of the ‘For Her’ brand, with underwear garments that still remain relevant and a staple in many wardrobes across the country.
First gaining its popularity through the French Cut, this shape has remained a firm favourite with quality design, fit and comfort. Made from sustainable cotton and modal mixed fabrics, the French Cut remains the most popular garment. The leg binding is designed to hold the leg openings firmly and the full body coverage across the buttocks giving its wearer the confidence to feel and look their best. Cotton fabric is used due to its comfort, non-irritation, stretch, durability and ease to wash.
Although the heritage speaks for itself, creating innovative products that celebrate female figures has always been at Jockey’s core. Over the years this pioneering retail business has engineered a suitable knitted fabric to suit every lady’s style as well as introducing the signature scallop elastics that are synonymous with the Jockey ladies underwear pack range. However, innovation comes at no compromise to the styling, fit and comfort, but instead caters to the fabric and elastic upgrades which improve shape and are soft, plush, and non-irritating.
