Lace up for the international third season of Kickin’ It With Kim Jayde, where Kim interviews icons in fashion, art, music, and sneaker culture.
Kim Jayde is a woman of many talents and titles from model and television host to entrepreneur and producer. She’s ending the year on a high as the third season of her popular YouTube series, Kickin’ It With Kim Jayde, premiers with a star-studded line-up.
She began filming the series back in 2019 in her closet , and it quickly grew in popularity . The latest season is her first international season, having filmed it across New York, Los Angeles, Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban, and features some of the most interesting personalities in fashion, art, music, and sneaker culture.
“Past seasons were focused on sneaker culture. However, the show has evolved to focus more on profiling each of my notable guests and sharing their inspiring life stories and lessons,” she says.
And her vision for the show has been clear from the get-go. “I didn’t want the show to be clickbait content. This show removes the gatekeeping of information about how to become successful in the industries of sport, fashion, and entertainment, passing on valuable, practical advice that viewers are able to apply in their lives. This is the kind of content I wish I could have watched when I was coming up in the industry.”

“This international season is hosted, directed, produced, cast, and financed by yours truly, and is the work I am most proud of to date,” Kim proudly exclaims.
But what led Kim into sneaker culture? “I’ll never forget it. It was the very first Fenty x Puma collaboration – the Vanilla Ice (sneaker) had a strap on the ankle. It was so fire and I needed to understand why they cost so much money and why there was so much hype around it. By doing that research, it led me into sneaker culture and the community that comes with it. I felt like it really resonated with me,” she excitedly told Balanced Life magazine as she reflected on one of her first sneaker collabs. “Sneaker heads do not conform – this spoke to my passion for music, urban culture, basketball and fashion,” she reveals. “It allowed me to express myself in a completely unique way that not many were doing in South Africa.”
