The 60th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony was held this past weekend. Bruno Mars a.k.a Mr 24 Karat Magic swept the top category of Album of the year while Kendrick Lamar dominated the rap categories. Many women chose to rock up carrying a white flower as an accessory symbolising their support of the Time’s Up movement. Whilst Rihanna’s Wild Thoughts performance had the audience mesmerised with her South-African inspired gwara gwara dance moves. Gaga always brings the drama and this year’s Grammy’s was no exception.Sza’s dreamy Atelier Versace gown was a white, sheer, fitted and ornate gown with dramatic sleeves. The soft and whimsical gown had the grammy nominated singer looking whimsical. The frosty, sparkly gown and her curly mane certainly channels ice-queen vibes.
Keep calm and sparkle on! Well, that’s certainly what Ashanti did at this year’s Grammy’s. The drama of this full-skirted Yas Couture by Elie Madi dress was contrasted by the sheer fabric which added a mischievous element to the ensemble. The high neck and full length skirt in twinkling gold makes this dress a showstopper.
Janelle Monae took the black lady tux to new heights with the flower applique. The Dolce & Gabbana power suit is an ambitious spin on a traditional fit and oozes power.
The mother to be proved that maternity wear does not have to be drab and shapeless. The sparkling Yanina Couture style highlighted her baby bump. The embellished gown turned heads with its sexy sleeve cutouts and plunging neckline.The R&B artist, Brent Faiyaz, took a youthful approach to the classic black suit. His embellished pants and jacket with combat bag details.
