Need a hearty and delicious post-workout meal? Try a pimped-out ramen bowl
What Is Ramen?
Besides being a bowl of delicious goodness, ramen is a Japanese dish with noodles swimming in a meat or fish-based broth, topped with (traditionally) sliced pork, dried seaweed, menma (bamboo shoots) and green onions. These days, it’s a trendy way to get a delicious meal that ticks all your post-workout boxes. Pimp your bowl even more with these four tricks:
Add Eggs
Whisk egg into the broth and you’ll get in more protein, fill your belly and up the flavour.
Add Peanut Butter
Add a scoop for a delicious nutty flavour.
Add Veggies
Wilt some spinach or cabbage in at the end, fry some broccoli, carrots or cauliflower, and then cook the ramen on top of that.
You could also add some frozen sweetcorn or peas to your hot water along with your noodles.
Add Coconut Milk
A little coconut milk will make a wonderfully creamy soup, and your body will thank you for all the good fats.
