Fashion icon turned designer Robyn Rihanna Fenty
As one of the most famous women in the world, Robyn Rihanna Fenty needs little introduction, but you might struggle to keep up with her many ventures. The Barbados-born pop star, actress, business mogul and humanitarian has always been a fashion icon, but now she’s a fashion designer on the fast track. The original ‘good girl gone bad’, Rihanna’s style has evolved from pop tart to fashion-week A-lister. One of her favourite designers to wear to events, Giambattista Valli, once said that ‘She wears couture like a T-shirt’ – and it’s true. It was Rihanna’s willingness to have fun with fashion that made her very attractive to designer brands, the first of many being Armani.
Another of Rihanna’s many fashion collaborators is Puma. After a string of successful lines, Rihanna was announced the brand’s new creative director in 2014. You’d think that she’d have her hands full as Puma’s creative director, but four years later, she launched her own lingerie collection –Savage X Fenty. More recently, the budding fashion powerhouse got snapped up by the world’s biggest fashion group, LVMH, the holding company for luxury fashion brands such as Dior and Givenchy, to create her very own fashion house.

Besides haute couture, something else important to RiRi is philanthropy. She is the founder of two charities – Believe, for terminally ill children and the Clara Lionel Foundation, which helps impoverished communities around the globe.
BEAUTIFUL THINGS
Rihanna first dipped her toes into the beauty world when she launched her first fragrance, Reb’l Fleur in 2011. Now, she’s the owner of her own cosmetics brand, Fenty Beauty. A leader in creating shades for darker skin tones, the company serves up foundation in 50 shades!

Rihanna has had a lot of standout red carpet moments. Who can forget the enormous pink tulle Giambattista Valli gown – known as the ‘cupcake’ dress – she wore to the Grammy Awards in 2015?
