5 Festive Season Beauty Looks on Our Radar

Get your glam on this holiday season! Office parties, weddings, end-of-year dinners and festive get-togethers – it’s that time of the year when the invites keep coming. So, up your beauty game with these glamorous beauty looks that are easy to pull off.

1. Bronzed and beautiful

For an elevated, natural look, keep your face bare and focus on your eyes and cheeks. Start with a primer, then apply a dewy, medium-coverage foundation. Grab a highpigmented bronzer and, using a blusher brush, apply it to the apples of your cheeks, moving up along your cheekbones, and blend, blend, blend. Mimic your cheeks with a bronze or golden eye shadow. Top off the look with a few layers of mascara (and eyeliner, if you like) and you’re good to go!

2. Red alert

Yes, red lips are an all-year favourite, but if you generally shy away from the bold look, now’s the time to give it a go. Buff your lips with a gentle exfoliator or scrub to remove any dry skin and create a smooth canvas. Moisturise your lips with a balm and allow that to completely absorb before filling them in with a matte red lip pencil (this will give your lippie staying power). Apply your bold choice of red – et voila!

3. Jewel tones

Make your eyes pop with gem-inspired shades like topaz, emerald, sapphire, and amethyst. Look for a highly pigmented eye shadow with staying power and a hint of shimmer. Apply the shade to your entire lid, building up intensity. Dot some highlighter in the inner corner of each eye and add a generous few layers of mascara

4. Time to shine

‘Tis the season for glitter. Whether you want to keep it subtle and just apply a touch to your lids or go full-on disco-ball diva with glitter lips, lids, and cheeks – you do you! 2022 loves glitter and there is no wrong or right way to wear it. Just add sparkle.

5. Best brows

There’s currently a stand-off happening between the thin brows of the 90s and the fuller, bolder brows we’ve become accustomed to over the last two-plus decades. But if you’ve been blessed with a thick pair, let your brows do the talking by fluffing and combing them up and out, using a clear or tinted gel. Pair with a nude glossy lip and subtle eye make-up. Done!
