In June 2023, she emerged as a voice from the east of Jozi. The next thing she knew, she was everywhere: TikTok timelines, global charts, red carpets, late-night stages, and in the sonic imagination of a generation looking for something new, something proudly African, and something groovy enough to move to.
But beneath the hit songs, the choreography, the Grammy awards and glam squads is a young South African woman who has been quietly reconstructing her understanding of joy, pleasure, self-worth and personal success.
