Purple Disco Machine, Zakes Bantwini & more to headline Corona Sunsets Festival Cape Town

Golden hour is calling! Get ready for a fusion of global disco beats and South African soul in a vibrant celebration of rhythm, ritual and nature – all unfolding this March at Cape Town’s breath-taking Clifton coastline.

Corona Sunsets Festival returns to the Mother City with one of its most anticipated editions yet, transforming The Glen Country Club, Clifton into an open-air gathering of music, art and nature on Saturday, 21 March 2026.

What to expect

Leading the line-up is Purple Disco Machine, the Grammy Award-winning German DJ and producer behind international hits Hypnotized and Fireworks. He brings his euphoric blend of nu-disco and house to Cape Town for a rare South African performance.

Joining him is a powerful mix of local icons and contemporary trailblazers, including Zakes Bantwini, Sun-El Musician (ahead of his anticipated new album), Msaki, DJ Kent, Liquideep, Mila-Rose, Blakongo, Roz b2b Housewife, Meek and the Ndlovu Youth Choir, who will deliver a once-off sunset performance set to be one of the most anticipated moments of the festival. Expect immersive art installations, live creative performances, locally inspired food, drum circles and the signature sunset ritual. Corona Sunsets creates space for shared moments and meaningful connections, offering far more than just music on stage.

“The festival is built around the idea of connection – to music, to nature, and to one another,” says Melanie Nicholson, Head of Brand: Corona South Africa. “We aim to create an environment where people feel present and open, and where the experience extends beyond the stage.”
