How To Keep Your Children Entertained This Holiday Season

We round up five fun activities around South Africa to keep you and your kids feeling festive.

The summer break is long – and there are only so many at-home activities to do before the kids are keen for something else. Treat them to a day out at one of these fun and festive venues.

  1. Snow Wonderland, KZN

Always wanted to build a snowman? What about shaping snowballs to throw at a target, or hitting the slopes in a tube? Feel the thrill of the chill with an outing to Snow Wonderland in Durban. Each session runs for 45 minutes; R105 gets you a full-access ticket. If you’d rather stay warm, don’t worry, you can keep an eye on the icy fun while you sip on hot chocolate at the Wonderland Café.

  1. Two Oceans Aquarium, Cape Town

The Two Oceans Aquarium is undeniably one of the top tourist attractions in Cape Town. Home to more than 3 000 aquatic animals – including sharks, fish, turtles, penguins and frogs – the world-class facility hosts a range of events, exhibits and activities for all ages. Book the Penguin Experience, a behind-the-scenes tour of the facility or a scuba diving session (for ages 12 and up) to get up close and personal with some of your favourite ocean animals.
