These budget buds were an audio revelation; like finding a diamond in the rough. The Xiaomi Mi TW Earbuds Basic 2 were far and away the best sounding earphones on our mid-2021 shootout and are a steal at the price. The bass is huge, but doesn’t overpower the mid and high frequencies. Instead, there is a good balance to the audio, made all the more enjoyable by that unbeatable price. We valued the physical buttons in the buds which are much preferred over unreliable touch controls, and the IPX4 splashproof rating is a nice touch. But aside from that super-sized audio performance these buds are pretty basic with no supporting app to tweak settings.
