If you’re not the stove-top type, it’s worth investing in a top-quality kettle – we’re talking looks and functionality. Choose a make that you’re happy to have on show, rather than tidying away in an appliance cupboard. All that’s left is to grind your favourite beans and let the coffee plunger work its magic.

Sometimes we need a little spoiling, especially on a special occasion. Be it an anniversary or a birthday, set the tone for the celebration with a beautifully laid table, a handful of candles and some gleaming crystal glassware. Cheers!

This is definitely the season for delicious soup, and let’s face it, few things are better than a steaming bowl of broth. And it’s the ultimate day-before fare, so all your work is done by the time your guests arrive. Splash out on some crockery with a beautiful glaze – they will also spice up the morning’s hearty oats.
