It used to be the kind of thing you would only see on a camping trip, but right now, the puffer jacket is the darling of the fashion world. You’ll spot it on models cruising down the runway as well as on stylish celebs such as Kate Moss, Blake Lively and Rihanna, who are all helping to give this season’s cosiest jacket some serious street cred. 

WHY WE LOVE IT 

The short answer? It’s comfy and warm! In a world where so many fashion items look gorgeous, but are uncomfortable to wear (we’re looking at you, stilettos), wearing a puffer jacket is the equivalent of taking a stroll wrapped up in a cosy sleeping bag. It also comes in a variety of different colours, prints and fabrics. From versatile black to eye-catching leopard print or striking silver, you’ll find your favourite! 

HOW TO WEAR IT 

Puffer jackets are, by definition, puffy, which adds a lot of weight to the top part of your frame. To balance things and avoid looking like a marshmallow, wear slim-fitting pants such as jeggings or skinny jeans, not bulky tracksuit bottoms. If you opt for a longer jacket, add height with a pair of heels.
