And the Best Dressed Award goes to…

What a night! This year’s Primetime Emmy Awards was definitely one for the books. Going into the event there were a few anticipated awards, such as Big Little Lies receiving the Outstanding limited series award and the Outstanding reality-competition program trophy being awarded to The Voice, of course. However, many were taken aback when certain unexpected individuals took home coveted trophy awards. The much-loved and supported Black-ish TV show was beaten this year, and it was Veep who took home the best Comedy Series award. Wow! Who would have thought? Also, RuPaul Charles, of RuPaul’s Drag Race, was victorious once again, bagging the Host For A Reality Or Reality-Competition Program trophy – we are so proud and grateful for all that he has done for the LGBT community!

Los Angeles’s Microsoft Theater was filled with joy and celebration, as this year’s TV heroes said goodbye to another year of awesome talent and premium entertainment, and we cannot wait to see what the year ahead of us unveils. One thing that we simply cannot deny about this year’s celebrations, is that this year’s red carpet was graced with some standout ensembles – some good and some not so great… Here’s our top five best dressed candidates. Do you guys agree?

She may be one of the youngest of the bunch but Yara is definitely giving her fans something to talk about, especially her young fans who are looking forward to prom night, of course! Supporting the Black-ish family, which was nominated for Comedy Series of the year, Yara stunned everyone in her exquisite, mostly nude ensemble. The feminine V-neckline and ruffled shoulder accents, added to the the gowns beautifully feminine silhouette – not to mention that gorgeous textured gold belt!

The Colombian actress and model showed off her well-known curves in a stunning white gown, which she paired up with some oversized sapphire and diamond chandelier earrings. It appears that oversized statement earrings were trending this year. What do you guys think? Yay or nay?

Viola stood out amongst all the glitz and glam in a bright, silky orange gown that was to die for! Orange has been a trendy style option these days and our main girl just keeps proving that she is quite the fashionista – when she wants to be, of course!

Keeping to the metallic trend that’s been flourishing all year, Jessica slayed us all in this open back number.

She’s been on a roll all year and she won’t be stopping anytime soon. Priyanka’s eye for detail and gorgeous embellishments is absolutely amazing! Her skin tight white Balmain gown was a sight for sore eyes!
