Traditionally, it was the bride who’d get all the beauty care before the big day. But as men get more style savvy, we also want to look our best when we tie the knot. Our four-step guide will transform you from ‘boy next door’ to ‘Hollywood heartthrob’ in a jiffy.
1. Shape that mane
A good haircut makes all the difference to your look and boosts your confidence. Make sure you spend a little more for this special occasion and get a top-notch barber but leave about a week before your wedding for your new hairstyle to settle. Something that’s clean-cut but adds volume is ideal.

2. Get fresh-faced with a facial
There’s a reason why women love facials. If you’ve never tried one before, now’s certainly the time, just make sure you have one a few days before the big moment. It will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed while looking rejuvenated and photo ready. Skin Perfect’s Jaclyn Peresetsky advises getting a chemical peel: “Apply either 30% Mandelic Acid or 10% Salicylic Acid separately or layer depending on skin concerns.”

3. Don’t forget your eyebrows
Newsflash: the unibrow look isn’t ideal for your wedding. Giving bushy brows a trim for the day can bring out those beautiful eyes and your other fine features. “A good rule of thumb … when adding definition to your eyebrows is to keep the length shorter on the sides and longer towards the middles”, says Tiege Hanley’s style guru Thomas Robinson (aka Thomas In Action).
4. A close shave makes all the difference
A good quality electric razor gives you the edge when it comes to a close cut. You don’t want to look messy at your nuptials, and simply neatening the edges, ridding yourself of stray hairs and choosing the right neckline can work wonders, “just to … define your jaw a little bit more”, says Tiktoker @eyalbooker. Ensure you leave enough time before your wedding for any razor burn to subside, remembering to splash cool water on the shaved area to close your pores again, then moisturising afterwards.
