Perky lashes are here to stay. still scared of your curler? Don’t be!
Eyelash curlers really do make a difference! You may be a little frustrated with disappointing results or just worried about damaging your lashes. Fact: When you’re doing it right, your curler may be your new #BFF – minus the damage!
#PREPSQUAD
1. Curlers need to be clean to avoid an eye infection. A bit of antibacterial soap and water is perfect for dipping and rinsing your curler.
2. Go for a curler with replaceable pad strips. Micro-cracks in old strips damage your lashes and cause uneven curling over time.
3. Curl your clean lashes before applying mascara. Using your curler on coated lashes can lead to breakage since mascara is formulated to stiffen your lashes.
HOW TO #LASHOUT
1. Place your lashes between the clamps, getting as close to the base of your lash as you can without pinching your eyelid. Gently clamp, holding it in place for five to seven seconds.
2. Release the clamp, then do the same across the middle of your lashes. To finish, clamp the tips for a full curl.
3. If you’re using eyeshadow and liner, now is the time to apply it if you haven’t already.
4. Apply a lash primer, followed by your mascara – together they will hold your curl in place. But remember that all is not lost with just a good swipe of mascara on its own.
