A Sought-After Maserati SUV Review

Versatile, spacious, smart and fun. Meet Grecale: the extraordinary Maserati SUV

Elegant And Unforgettable

Grecale is the name of a Mediterranean wind, inspiring this new high-performance range. It fulfils all requirements with every kind of powertrain – conventional combustion and hybrid engines, with the full-electric Grecale Folgore on the horizon destined to become the first 100% electric Maserati SUV.

The brand’s research into colours, materials and specifications began with its identity, based on its singularity and the evolution of the ‘Made in Italy’ promise. It offers geographic uniqueness and cosmopolitan spirit, along with elegance, comfort and pure driving pleasure.

Take Off

The GT, Modena and Trofeo models are the three distinct versions that were made available at the recent launch. Each version is an account of different aspects of the same over-arching theme:

Grecale GT:

With its four-cylinder 300HP mild hybrid engine, it recalls the city and its contemporary minimalism. It is intended for world citizens and their dynamism, curiosity and fashion consciousness, but is also in constant search for a style that is personal.

Grecale Modena:

This four-cylinder 330HP mild hybrid has an innate, timeless elegance, and unleashes the charm for nature lovers who make the most of their free time.

Grecale Trofeo:

With a powerful 530HP V6 engine, this model represents pure adrenaline, where the car’s disruptive performance becomes the perfect tool to take up your very own personal challenge.

These are three different ways of interpreting the Grecale, but there’s more. It’s an entire range that becomes a canvas on which to plot your own lifestyle, one day at a time.

Five drive modes mean you can shift from easy comfort to the powerful emotions of extreme responsiveness

Cool Colour Ways

Recognisable traits of this Maserati’s ‘everyday exceptional’ were translated into the three colours presented at launch: the GT version comes in Bronzo Opaco, which is an enveloping and silky matte hue.

The Modena comes in Grigio Cangiante (an iridescent grey tone made possible by an interposed three-layer paint with effects inspired by the freshness of summer light).

The Trofeo comes in Giallo Corse, expressing the bond between Maserati and Modena – a shade that combines the city’s two heraldic colours, with a yellow base and a blue mica giving off the sportiest look by far.

Dynamic Driving

Grecale is all about comfort, versatility and the sound experience – immerse yourself in 360° sound courtesy of the engine’s unmistakable roar and the Sonus Faber audio system with 3D sound and up to 21 speakers.

This new offering is also all about being smart and touch-based. You can interact with various displays, such as the classic cluster, the new 12.3-inch central screen (the largest ever in a Maserati), and an 8.8-inch comfort display with extra controls and new digital clock-face.

The Grecale celebrates innovation courtesy of new technical specifications, including the Maserati Intelligent Assistant (MIA) multimedia system, the latest infotainment and the HUD (heads-up display) available as an additional option.

To top off the driving experience, the extraordinary dynamics with five configurable drive modes – Comfort, GT, Sport, Corsa (Trofeo only) and Off-Road – mean you can shift from user-friendly utmost comfort to the powerful emotions of extreme responsiveness and potency.

Like an outfit, jewellery or a work of art you select for your home, Grecale serves as a means to identify yourself as someone who always stands out from the crowd. Grecale is an exceptional experience, every day.

The Brand

Maserati’s range of unique cars is immediately recognisable by their extraordinary personality. Thanks to their style, technology and innately exclusive character, they delight the most discerning tastes and have always been a reference point for the global automotive industry.

Maserati boasts a tradition of successful cars, each of them redefining what makes an Italian sports car in terms of design, performance, comfort, elegance and safety, currently available in more than 70 markets worldwide.

Ambassadors of this heritage are the Quattroporte flagship, the Ghibli sports sedan, the Levante (the first SUV made by Maserati) and now the Grecale, the all-new ‘everyday exceptional’ SUV. All models are characterised by the use of the highest quality materials and excellent technical solutions.

In keeping with current developments, the Ghibli, Levante and Grecale are also available in hybrid versions. It is a complete range, equipped with 4-cylinder hybrid powertrains, V6 petrol and V8 petrol versions, with rear-wheel and four-wheel drive, embodying the performance DNA of the Trident brand.

The top-of-the-range MC20 supercar is powered by the ground-breaking Nettuno V6 engine, incorporating F1-derived technologies available in the power unit of a standard production car for the first time.
