Born in Soweto and raised in Sandton, but now living in Cape Town, Mum-z has an undeniably engaging stage presence, thought provoking content and a fresh and original take on the topics he addresses. With 15 years experience in stand-up, Mum-z is not just a “fly by night” entertainer.

He has performed with SA legends such as Trevor Noah, Loyiso Gola, John Vlismas, Joe Parker, Kagiso Lediga, Joey Rasdien, Chris Forrest, Schalk Bezuidenhout, Stuart Taylor, Kurt Schoenraadand and many more.

Most South Africans will recognise him for his appearance in TV commercials such as The Castle Lite Yeti, The ENO soccer and the Carling BlackLabel Mother’s Day campaign.

Mum-z is one of the most awarded comedians in South Africa and has awarded:
