How To Add Autumn Decor To Your Home

The living room is the place where we gather with loved ones, wind down and snuggle up on the couch under a blanket. It’s time to bring autumn indoors with the help of a little decor touch-up

Layers upon Layers
It’s time to layer up with blankets, cushions, and throws… Autumn is the perfect time to add tons of fabric layers that add warmth to the space, cosy up the room and help prepare your living room for complete fall feels. Try opting for a variety of textures such as velvets, soft cotton and rich wool to create visual interest within the space, and be sure to have storage baskets around that will keep your blankets neatly at bay.

Warm-up, Buttercup
Nothing says autumn quite like shades of brown, yellow ochre, orange and rust. These warm tones of the colour spectrum already make you feel cosier and ready to embrace the slightest chill in the air. They also work well for an accent wall, or on smaller decor pieces such as soft furnishings, candles and vases. Those little pops of colour will make all the difference within your living room. 1. Set the Mood
Lighting will always be key to every part of a home, and this could not be more true than when it comes to your living room. Candles and a warmer shade of lighting add a fireplace feel to a home that may not have one to begin with. Think hot chocolate, a great novel to read and the scent of cinnamon candles burning in the background. If ever there was a picture- perfect moment for autumn, this would be it.

Something Shiny
Copper is among the warm hues of metal, and ties in well with an autumn-themed living room. It’s the perfect mix of fun and playful, yet luxe and elevated at the same time. Use copper accents with lighting, barstools or some small statues in and around the room to add a metallic finish.
